Q: What is a Condition and Valuation Marine Survey and why do I need it?

A: A Condition and Valuation Marine Survey helps determine the current condition and current market value of the vessel. Surveys are generally required on older vessels or custom-built vessels.

Q: Where am I allowed to use my Vessel?

A: Our Navigational limit are as follows: WARRANTED during the currency of this policy the insured property is operated only within Canada and the Continental USA, limited to a 1,500-mile radius of your address provided on the Policy Declaration Page and with respect to:

i) Coastal waters of British Columbia not North of Skagway, Alaska (60 degrees North Latitude), and not South of Westport, Washington (47 degrees North Latitude), in any event not exceeding 200 miles offshore.

OR

ii) Coastal waters of Eastern Canada not North of Henley Harbour, Labrador (52 degrees North Latitude), and not South of Gloucester, Massachusetts (42.5 degrees North Latitude), in any event not exceeding 200 miles offshore.

Q: Is there a list of acceptable Marine Surveyors for Beacon?

A: As long as the Marine Survey is conducted by an accredited Marine Surveyor – we can look to accept it.
