Beacon’s Trip to Dreamcycle Motorcycle Museum

Our Beacon Underwriting team had the amazing opportunity to visit the Dreamcycle Motorcycle Museum in Sorrento, BC.

The museum was opened on May 12th, 2012, by motorcycle enthusiast Mark Lane, who has been buying, selling, and collecting motorcycle’s since he was a young man.

Mark’s enthusiasm for his motorcycle’s is contagious and being able to have a private tour of his collection and hearing the stories he had of each bike and its history was awe inspiring.

Mark also showed us a glimpse of the restoration process in his workshop, where you will find bare bike frames, engine components, machining tools and much more. You could say this is where the magic really happens!

As a motorcycle enthusiast myself I applaud Mark’s dedication to keeping these historical and beautiful motorcycles alive and continue telling their stories for the next generation of riders.

The museum also has a gift shop with a large array of miniature models, apparel, keychains, patches and more that make awesome gifts for all types of riders.

After the tour we were treated to a delicious homemade lunch at the museums Sprokkets Café, before embarking on our trip back home.

If you are also wanting to visit the museum They are located at 3096 Trans-Canada Highway, Sorrento, BC

The museum is currently closed for the season now but Sprokkets Cafe is open 9:15-3:15, closed Tuesdays.
